🎨 Course Description This 6-week pottery course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new hobby, refine their skills, and meet like-minded people! Work in a fun and supportive environment while making functional, personalized pieces for your home. 🌟 🏺 Course Schedule (Every Sunday in March at 4pm, Starting March 2nd) | $190 Week 1 (March 2) — Throwing Part 1: Centering clay, creating balanced cylinders, and basic bowls. 🏺 Week 2 (March 9) — Coil Building: Learn hand-building techniques to create mugs, bowls, or sculptures. 🌀 Week 3 (March 16) — Throwing Part 2: Refine your throwing skills, focusing on taller, even walls and detailed shapes. 🏺 Week 4 (March 23) — Throwing Part 3: Learn trimming techniques and how to add footers (bases) to your pieces. ✂️🖌️ [Includes Open Studio discussion time for feedback] Week 5 (March 30) — Glazing and Skill Recap: In-depth glazing session where you’ll paint and explore techniques. Recap of skills from previous weeks and time for refining your work. 🎨✨ [Includes Open Studio discussion time for feedback] Bonus: Everyone gets a premade 10oz mug to glaze and customize as a keepsake or gift. 🎁 Week 6 (Flexible Glazing Time in April 🌺) — We offer flexible glazing times for you to add custom designs to your pieces using brush glazing techniques. You’ll receive a voucher to attend up to 2 of our 2-hour glazing classes in April. 🖌️🎨 🛠 Materials Each student will be provided with their own pottery tool kit to keep for future projects! 🔧🖌️ 💡 Why Small Classes Matter With a maximum of 13 students per class, you'll receive personalized instruction, hands-on practice, and the opportunity to connect with fellow pottery enthusiasts. Most students create 4-5 pieces, with a hard limit of 6 (+ the mug we give you for 7) to ensure there’s space for everyone’s work. 🤝👩‍🎨 ⏰ Open Studio We’ll discuss Open Studio availability in Weeks 4 and 5, allowing time to practice your skills and get feedback.
