🎨 Matcha Bowl Workshop Perfect for beginners and matcha lovers alike, this once-a-month workshop is all about crafting your very own matcha bowl on the pottery wheel. In this 90-minute hands-on class, you’ll learn essential wheel-throwing techniques such as centering, shaping, and refining forms specifically designed for preparing and enjoying matcha. You’ll create a beautifully proportioned matcha bowl—also known as a chawan—that you can use in your tea rituals or as a unique handmade keepsake. Pricing Options: $45 Standard Option: Includes a clear glazing coat applied by our staff and all of your pieces fired and ready for pickup in 3 weeks. This is the simplest option if you prefer not to glaze your piece yourself. $60 Glazing Class Option: If you’d like to personalize your bowl with a custom glaze, you can book a separate glazing session within 30 days of your workshop date. During this follow-up class, you’ll learn how to glaze your piece by hand. We’ll go over how to schedule this glazing session when you attend the workshop. Please note: glazing cannot be completed on the same day as your throwing session. Finished pieces will be held for 30 days after they’re ready before being discarded if not picked up. 💡 Why Small Classes Matter: Our matcha bowl workshops are designed with beginners in mind and capped at 13 students to ensure personalized guidance every step of the way.
