What to Expect
🎨 Course Description: This 4-week pottery course is a perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing for beginners or those looking to build foundational skills. You’ll learn the entire process, starting with the basics of working with clay, including centering and throwing on the pottery wheel. From there, we’ll cover drying, trimming, bisque firing, and glazing your pieces — ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the craft. 🗓️ Schedule: Every Monday in August @ 6:30pm 📅 August 4 📅 August 11 📅 August 18 📅 August 25 1️⃣ Week 1 (August 4): Throwing Part 1 – Center clay & create cylinders and basic bowls. 2️⃣ Week 2 (August 11): Throwing Part 2 – Refine your throwing skills, focusing on taller, even walls and detailed shapes. 3️⃣ Week 3 (August 18): Trimming techniques, add nice footers (bases). 4️⃣ Week 4 (August 25): Glazing – Glaze up to 4 pieces, making them food-safe and durable. ❗Please make sure you can attend every session, as we are unable to offer makeup classes. If needed, limited makeup time outside of class may be arranged, but full session makeups are not available. 💲 Total Cost: $130 💡 Why Small Classes Matter: Classes are kept small (maximum 13 students) to ensure you receive personalized attention and hands-on guidance. Whether you’re a first-time thrower or have previous experience, you’ll receive the support needed to develop your skills at your own pace. We limit to 4 pieces glazed & kept due to the size of our space, but allow for unlimited creation to practice technique during class time. 🎯
Cancellation Policy
🔄 Refund Policy: Non-refundable 5 days before the start. A $25 cancellation fee applies before this. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the course.
