Pottery Handbuilding Workshop
What to Expect
🎨 Handbuilding Workshop This workshop is perfect for anyone who has never tried pottery and is curious to explore the craft. In this two-hour handbuilding class, you’ll dive right into hands-on ceramic work, learning essential techniques like slab building, coiling, and pinching to form your own unique pieces. While we’ll primarily focus on creating functional items like mugs or small planters, other creative forms will be introduced for those who’d like a bit more of a challenge. Pricing Options: $45 Standard Option: Includes a clear glazing coat applied by our staff. Your piece will be fired and ready for pickup in 3 weeks. This is the simplest option if you prefer not to glaze your work yourself. $60 Glazing Class Option: If you’d like to personalize your pieces with more refined details and colors, we highly recommend booking a separate glazing session within 30 days of your workshop date. During this follow-up class, you’ll learn how to glaze your pieces by hand and bring your unique vision to life. We’ll explain how to schedule this glazing session when you attend the workshop. Please note: glazing cannot be completed on the same day as your handbuilding class. Finished pieces will be held for 45 days after they’re ready before being discarded if not picked up. 💡 Why Small Classes Matter: Our handbuilding classes are designed with beginners in mind and capped at 13 students to ensure personalized attention and hands-on instruction. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to try something new, you’ll receive the guidance you need to confidently create your first piece. We can’t wait to have you join us! ◡̈
