What to Expect
🎨 Course Description This 5-week pottery course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new hobby, refine their skills, and meet like-minded people! Work in a fun, supportive environment while making functional, personalized pieces for your home. 🌟 🏺 Course Schedule | Sundays at 2:00 PM, 2 hours per class, running November 2–30 | $190 👉 Classes run every Sunday in November, giving you a consistent 5-week flow. Glazing happens on your schedule in December, so you can take your time. 😊 Week 1 (Nov 2) — Throwing Part 1 Learn the basics—centering clay, forming cylinders, and crafting simple bowls. 🏺 Week 2 (Nov 9) — Coil Building (Handbuilding) Explore handbuilding techniques to make mugs, bowls, or sculptural pieces. 🌀 Week 3 (Nov 16) — Throwing Part 2 Refine your skills with taller forms, even walls, and detailed shaping. 🏺 Week 4 (Nov 23) — Throwing Part 3 Learn trimming techniques and how to add footers (bases) to your work. ✂️🖌️ Week 5 (Nov 30) — Skill Recap & Refinement Review and refine what you’ve learned while making your final pieces. We’ll also cover glazing techniques and the full firing process. Includes both handbuilding and wheel throwing—perfect to focus on what’s best for you! 🎨✨ Glazing (Flexible Studio Time in December 🌿) No rush, no pressure! You’ll receive up to 4 hours of studio time (split across 2 sessions) in December to glaze your work during any of our open hours. 🖌️✨ 🛠 Materials All studio tools are provided during class. Want your own? Add $20 to receive a personal tool kit (10 essential tools for throwing & trimming) plus an apron to keep. 🔧 💡 Why Small Classes Matter With just 13 students per class, you’ll get personalized instruction, hands-on practice, and the chance to connect with fellow pottery lovers. Cancellation Policy
🔄 Refund Policy: Non-refundable 5 days before the start. A $25 cancellation fee applies before this. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the course.
