What to Expect
🎨 Course Description: This 5-week pottery course is a perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing for beginners or those looking to build foundational skills. You'll explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques, gaining a well-rounded understanding of ceramic creation from start to finish. Whether you're brand new or building on previous experience, this course offers structured, supportive learning and plenty of hands-on time. 🗓️ Schedule: Every Sunday in August @ 2:00pm 📅 August 3 📅 August 10 📅 August 17 📅 August 24 📅 August 31 1️⃣ Week 1 (August 3): Wheel Throwing – Learn to center clay and create basic cylinders and bowls. 2️⃣ Week 2 (August 10): Handbuilding – Explore slab and coil techniques to create functional or sculptural forms off the wheel. 3️⃣ Week 3 (August 17): Wheel Throwing – Focus on creating taller, more refined forms on the wheel. 4️⃣ Week 4 (August 24): Trimming & Attachments – Trim thrown pieces and learn how to add handbuilt elements like handles to make mugs. 5️⃣ Week 5 (August 31): Glazing – Glaze up to 4 of your favorite pieces using studio glazes to make them food-safe and ready for use. ❗Please make sure you can attend every session, as we are unable to offer makeup classes. If needed, limited studio time outside of class may be arranged, but full session makeups are not available. 💲 Total Cost: $165 💡 Why Small Classes Matter: We keep class sizes small (maximum 13 students) so you can get individualized instruction and support each week. You’ll have room to grow at your own pace, whether you’re mastering your first bowl or learning to add custom handles to mugs. While we limit students to 5 glazed & kept pieces due to space, you’re welcome to create and experiment freely during each session. 🎯
Cancellation Policy
🔄 Refund Policy: Non-refundable 5 days before the start. A $25 cancellation fee applies before this. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the course.
