What to Expect

🎨 Course Description: This 4-week pottery course is a perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing for beginners or those looking to build foundational skills. You’ll learn the entire process, starting with the basics of working with clay, including centering and throwing on the pottery wheel. From there, we’ll cover drying, trimming, bisque firing, and glazing your pieces — ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the craft. 🗓️ Schedule: Every Sunday in July @ 11:00am 📅 July 6 📅 July 13 📅 July 20 📅 July 27 1️⃣ Week 1 (July 6): Throwing Part 1 – Center clay & create cylinders and basic bowls. 2️⃣ Week 2 (July 13): Throwing Part 2 – Refine your throwing skills, focusing on taller, even walls and detailed shapes. 3️⃣ Week 3 (July 20): Throwing Part 3 – Trimming techniques, add nice footers (bases). 4️⃣ Week 4 (July 27): Glazing – Glaze up to 4 pieces, making them food-safe and durable. 💲 Total Cost: $130 💡 Why Small Classes Matter: Classes are kept small (maximum 13 students) to ensure you receive personalized attention and hands-on guidance. Whether you’re a first-time thrower or have previous experience, you’ll receive the support needed to develop your skills at your own pace. We limit to 4 pieces glazed & kept due to the size of our space, but allow for unlimited creation to practice technique during class time. 🎯
