🎨 Course Description This 6-week pottery course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new hobby, refine their skills, and meet like-minded people! Work in a fun, supportive environment while making functional, personalized pieces for your home. 🌟 🏺 Course Schedule | Thursdays at 6:30pm, 2 hours per class, starting May 1st through the end of May, plus flexible glazing time in June | $190 Note: The course kicks off on Thursday, May 1st, and runs every Thursday through May. All hands-on sessions are in May, with glazing in June to give you extra time—no rush, no pressure. 😊 Week 1 (May 1) — Throwing Part 1: Learn the basics—centering clay, forming cylinders, and crafting simple bowls. 🏺 Week 2 (May 8) — Coil Building: Explore hand-building techniques to make mugs, bowls, or sculptural pieces. 🌀 Week 3 (May 15) — Throwing Part 2: Refine your wheel work with taller forms, even walls, and more detailed shaping. 🏺 Week 4 (May 22) — Throwing Part 3: Learn trimming techniques and how to add footers (bases) to your work. ✂️🖌️ Week 5 (May 29) — Skill Recap & Refinement: Review and refine what you’ve learned while making your final pieces. We'll also cover glazing techniques and the ceramic firing process. Includes both hand-building and wheel throwing—perfect to focus on what suits you best! 🎨✨ Week 6 (Flexible Glazing Time in June 🌿) — No rush! You'll receive up to 4 hours of open studio time (split across 2 sessions) to glaze your work any time during open hours in June. 🖌️✨ 🛠 Materials All studio tools are provided during class. Want your own kit? Add $20 for a personal tool kit (10 essential tools for throwing & handbuilding) plus an apron to keep. 🔧 💡 Why Small Classes Matter With just 13 students per class, you’ll get personalized instruction, hands-on practice, and the chance to connect with fellow pottery lovers.
