What to Expect

1️⃣ Week 1: Throwing Part 1 – Center clay & create cylinders and basic bowls. 2️⃣ Week 2: Throwing Part 2 – Refine your throwing skills, focusing on taller, even walls and detailed shapes 4️⃣ Week 3: Throwing Part 3 – Trimming techniques, add nice footers (bases) 5️⃣ Week 4: Glazing – Glaze up to 4 pieces, making them food-safe and durable. Total Cost: $130 🎨 Course Description: This 4-week pottery course is a perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing for beginners or those looking to build foundational skills. You’ll learn the entire process, starting with the basics of working with clay, including centering and throwing on the pottery wheel. From there, we’ll cover drying, trimming, bisque firing, and glazing your pieces — ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the craft. 💡 Why Small Classes Matter: Classes are kept small (maximum 13 students) to ensure you receive personalized attention and hands-on guidance. Whether you’re a first-time thrower or have previous experience, you’ll receive the support needed to develop your skills at your own pace.
