Overview

This 6-week pottery course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new hobby, refine their skills, and meet like-minded people! You'll create functional, personalized pieces while learning both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques. Classes meet Saturdays at 2:00 PM with flexible glazing anytime in November (Nov 1–30). Week 2 is coil building mugs, and week 5 goes back on the wheel to refine every technique from the first four weeks.

Refund Policy

Non-refundable 5 days before the start. A $25 cancellation fee applies before this. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the course.

    Throwing Part 1

    Centering clay, forming cylinders, and crafting simple bowls.

  2. Week 2Oct 10

    Coil Building Mugs

    Build a mug by hand, rolling and stacking coils, then smoothing the walls and adding a handle.

  3. Week 3Oct 17

    Throwing Part 2

    Improve your control with taller forms, even walls, and refined shaping.

  4. Week 4Oct 24

    Throwing Part 3

    Learn trimming techniques and how to add footers (bases).

  5. Week 5Oct 31

    Throwing Part 4

    Back on the wheel to refine every technique from the first four weeks.

  6. Week 6Flex in November

    Glazing

    Flexible glazing anytime November 1–30. You'll receive up to 4 hours of studio time (split across 2 sessions) during open hours. Finished pieces are typically ready one week after glazing and will be held for 60 days after firing.
