[Sundays] August 6-Week Pottery Course
Overview
This 6-week pottery course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new hobby, refine their skills, and meet like-minded people! You'll create functional, personalized pieces while learning both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques. Classes meet Sundays, 2:00–4:00 PM starting August 2, with flexible glazing anytime in September (Sept 1–30). Courses are kept small, at 13 students, to ensure personalized instruction. Most students finish 5–6 final pieces (maximum of 7 to ensure kiln space). All tools and materials are included, with the option to purchase a personal tool kit for $20.

Refund Policy
Non-refundable 5 days before the start. A $25 cancellation fee applies before this. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the course.

Centering clay, forming cylinders, and crafting simple bowls.

Learn handbuilding methods to create mugs, bowls, or sculptural pieces.

Improve your control with taller forms, even walls, and refined shaping.

Throwing Part 3
Learn trimming techniques and how to add footers (bases).

Skill Recap & Refinement
Apply everything learned so far through focused making. Includes wheel and handbuilding work.
- Week 6Flex in September
Glazing
Flexible glazing anytime September 1–30. You'll receive up to 4 hours of studio time (split across 2 sessions) during open hours. Finished pieces are typically ready one week after glazing and will be held for 60 days after firing.
