Holiday Matchamake your own set
Four weeks to throw a whisk holder, build a sip mug, make a whisking bowl and glaze them into a set. Sunday mornings or Monday evenings in December, or Matcha Mondays starting January 4.
All four weeks, all materials, all firing.

What happens each week
- 1
Week 1 · Sunday, December 6
Custom whisk holder
On the wheel
Your first hour on a pottery wheel, making the smallest piece of the set: the dome your chasen dries on. Small, forgiving, and the easiest way to learn centering.

- 2
Week 2 · Sunday, December 13
Matcha sip mug
By hand
A handbuilt mug sized for a latte. Slab built, so the walls carry your fingerprints and the handle sits where your hand actually wants it.

- 3
Week 3 · Sunday, December 20
Matcha whisking bowl
The wide chawan
The centerpiece. Wide and low with a rounded floor, because a whisk needs room to move. We shape it for the way you whisk, not for a catalog.

- 4
Week 4 · Sunday, December 27 · flexible
Glaze + design
Your colors
Everything comes back from the bisque kiln and you decide what it looks like. Dips, brushwork, wax resist, layered color: three plain pieces become a set that matches. Can't make the last week? Glaze on any day the studio is open between December 29 and January 15 instead. We're closed December 31 and January 1, and glazing doesn't run on Fridays. Just email us the day that works.
