Ceramic Sip Mugs
Everyone leaves this one with a mug — a proper one, with a sip top and a handle you shaped to your own grip. We build it by hand rather than on the wheel, so there's no learning curve to get through first: you'll roll and cut a slab for the body, join the seam, pull a handle, and cut the opening in the lid. The sip top is the part people fuss over most, and it's the part that makes the mug feel like yours. Two hours, small tables, an instructor working around the room the whole time. Clay, tools and studio glazes are included, and we fire everything for you. Pickup is at the studio about three weeks later, once both firings are done. It's a good first ceramics class and a very good one to bring a friend to.
