Lets be friends | Intro to Wheelthrowing
This two-part beginner-friendly pottery wheel experience is perfect for anyone curious to meet some new people and try ceramics for the first time or develop some intro skills!
If you also have experience, we are happy to help and have you develop during class. The class will start with the assumption everyone needs to know the basics, but after this we go around and help everyone at their level.
Part 1 — Friday, April 17 at 6:30 PM: Up to 16 people on the wheels. Everyone can create a piece at their own pace and skill level. We will demo bowls in class, and for those up for a challenge, we will also cover cups and mini vases. You will have plenty of time at the wheel with supportive instruction.
Part 2 — Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 PM: A paint-and-sip glazing social (BYOB). Come back with a drink of your choice and add fun colors and designs to make your piece food safe and durable. Glazing is included in your ticket; while April 29th will be the main night to get the group together again, you may book any glazing date that works for you on our calendar.
